About the Survey

Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) is dedicated to helping warriors live the life they deserve and thrive for a lifetime. The Warrior Survey is the most comprehensive study of its kind and highlights the greatest challenges affecting warriors.

These findings provide actionable insights to help WWP evolve its programs and services to meet the greatest needs of the warriors we serve. The insights also inform policymakers, veterans service organizations, and the health care community — driving meaningful change for our nation’s veterans.

Key Findings by Area

Data from the Warrior Survey represents over 185,000 warriors who were registered with WWP as of March 2023.

Recommendations to Improve Quality of Life

The research found in the Warrior Survey highlights how important it is to understand and address the complex needs of veterans to help create solutions that enhance their overall well-being.

WWP offers the following recommendations:

 

Advance policies to improve access to mental health resources and reduce barriers to care.

 

Enhance care and treatment for veterans with multiple conditions.

 

Enhance and expand suicide prevention training for both the veteran community and the public sector.

 

Expand opportunities for veterans to connect within the veteran community and with the broader public.

 

Enhance financial wellness and employment opportunities for veterans.
