CSX's Innovation Partnership Goals

Through Pride in Service, CSX partners with WWP to address evolving needs within the veteran community.

CSX's partnership focuses on three major objectives:

To positively impact warriors and their families across the states and communities where CSX employees live, work, and serve.

To help advance understanding and awareness around issues facing warriors today, internally, and externally.

To continue to engage employees in the shared mission of CSX and WWP through fundraising and volunteerism.

CSX Partnership Commitment

CSX fuels the WWP mission at the Innovation level ($500-$999K). Since 2018, the company and its employees have contributed over $3.4 million to help wounded warriors and their families.

With nearly 20% of its workforce having served, CSX values veteran employment. CSX partners with the WWP Warriors to Work® program on workforce development initiatives including customized drone training, veteran job fairs, and "lunch & learns."

CSX is committed to supporting WWP’s Emergency Financial Assistance Program to mitigate food insecurity in the warrior population by providing critical funding and hosting employee-led food drives.

Because of its commitment to mental health, CSX has committed to delivering WWP’s suicide prevention awareness training to its special agents and other employees.

Each year CSX employees support warriors through food drives, skills-based volunteering, and participation in the annual WWP Carry Forward 5K in Jacksonville. This event engages employees to raise critical funds in support of wounded warriors.

As a sponsor of the WWP Community Partner Convening event, CSX will strengthen its ties to the veteran nonprofit community, while helping to spark critical conversations and share best practices.

CSX President and CEO Joe Hinrichs speaks to participants at the 2023 Jacksonville Carry Forward 5K.

“Wounded warriors are a special community to CSX. This partnership offers the perfect opportunity for us to raise awareness and show our support.”
