Adaptive Sports
An adaptive sports program for veterans, empowering them to reach their highest potential through sports.
Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) Adaptive Sports program empowers warriors to unleash their highest potential by participating in modified athletic opportunities designed for their individual abilities. Through single-day and multi-day clinics, warriors learn to use adaptive sports equipment and develop athletic skills. Additionally, warriors are introduced to seasoned adaptive sports athletes and connected with local resources. This lays the groundwork for them to continue improving their physical fitness while connecting with other veterans and their community through sport.
Conditions that qualify for the Adaptive Sports program include, but are not limited to:
Warriors may also qualify for the Adaptive Sports program if their documented injuries or conditions meet the requirements for participation through the Department of Veterans Affairs for adaptive sports or equipment.
If you are unsure whether you qualify for the Adaptive Sports program, please contact the WWP Resource Center.
Be sure to contact your physician or healthcare provider to ensure it is safe for you to participate in physical activity.
